Davao Mission Adventist Media Missionaries Answer the Call to Get Involved

On February 22, a powerful and heartfelt moment occurred at the Davao Mission conference hall, where passionate individuals committed themselves to a higher calling. In a Dedication and Commissioning Ceremony, a new wave of Adventist Digital Missionaries—news reporters, influencers, video editors, photographers, and HopeRadio programmers—were charged with spreading faith and hope through the digital world.
With urgency and conviction, Pastor Michael Palar, Hope Channel Coordinator for the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD), emphasized to be vigilant in the imminence of Christ’s return and the need to maximize every platform in spreading the message of salvation.
He said, “The internet isn’t just a space for entertainment or information—it’s a mission field,” he passionately declared. “Jesus is coming soon, and we must use every available tool and platform available to proclaim His message. Every post, every video, every piece of content you create is a means to awaken people to the reality of His soon return.”
Bringing an air of inspiration, Pastor Sherman Fiedacan, President of Hope Channel Philippines, issued a call to action, urging the newly commissioned missionaries to embrace their work with faith and dedication:“You are called for a mission. Everything you create—every live stream, testimony, and carefully crafted message—can potentially change lives. This is just the beginning. Keep growing, refining your skills, and nurturing your personal relationship with Christ. Dedicate your life to His service. Your talents are more than gifts—they are tools for ministry. Use them purposefully, knowing that each effort contributes to a greater cause.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Rhoen Peralta Catolico, the SePUM Communication and Media Director, reminded the missionaries of the deeper purpose behind their work: “This is not just about technology or platforms. It is about touching hearts and transforming lives. We recognize the sacrifices you have made and the ones you will make in this journey. But know this—you are not alone. You carry not just the tools of the trade, but also our prayers for your ministry and the church.”
The atmosphere was filled with renewed commitment as these media missionaries stepped forward, fully embracing their mission. More than just content creators, they are now ambassadors of faith, storytellers of hope, and digital disciples tasked with reaching a world in need of light.
“This is not just a role—it’s a calling,” one newly commissioned missionary said. “We pray that through our work, more people will find peace, encouragement, and a connection with Christ.”
With a renewed passion for media evangelism, these dedicated individuals are ready to make a difference online. Their mission is clear—to raise Christ in the digital world, one post, one video, one story at a time.
