80 Campsites, 230 Districts, 5 Missions, One SePUM for F-Camp 2024

It has been an exciting week, just a few days after the highly successful and well-organized SSD-wide Congress 2024, which involved Adventists from 11 nations!

The Youth Department of the Southeastern Philippine Union Mission (SePUM) has launched F-CAMP 2024, the largest Friendship Camporee, an upgraded evangelistic Youth Camp that involves non-Adventist young people in all its activities. The camp includes devotionals, challenges, games, skills training, plenaries, breakout sessions, Bible studies, and potluck meals. It will feature the well-organized and consistent scouting program practiced by the Seventh-day Adventist Church worldwide – Pathfindering.

The Davao Mission, led by Youth Director Pastor Irnie Hemoroz, has seven campsites that serve its seven clustered districts. The Northern Davao Mission (NDM), under the leadership of Youth Director Pastor Vicente Hulguin, has 27 F-camps for delegates from Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, and Davao del Norte.

Pr. Joel Nacubuan is leading the Youth Department of Southern Mindanao Mission (SMM) with 22 campsites to cater to the eagerness of campers from 269 churches from the cities of General Santos and Koronadal; the provinces of South Cotabato and Sarangani; the islands of Balut, and Sarangani in Davao Occidental; the towns of Kalamansig, Lebak, and Palembang in Sultan Kudarat; and the Bai Saripinang, Busok, and Knayao barangays of Bagumbayan, in Sultan Kudarat.

The South Central Mindanao Mission has been newly divided and now covers the provinces of Maguindanao, Cotabato, and Sultan Kudarat, with the exception of Kalamansig, Lebak, and Palembang, as well as the three barangays of Bagumbayan, and the cities of Tacurong, Cotabato, and Kidapawan. To ensure efficient management, the mission has strategically organized itself into seven sectors or clusters, each with its own campsite where enthusiastic campers gather under the leadership of Youth Director Pastor Zaldy Demagnaong.

Southeastern Caraga Mission (SeCM) operates 17 camp locations for campers from Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur, supervised by Pr. Minuru Efren Estrada, focusing on the youth community.

Being PINILI or Chosen, Adventist young people, with their invited friends or peers, would realize that “The Lord has appointed the youth to be his helping hand” (Testimonies for the Church 7:64).

As a Spirit-driven writer, Mrs. Ellen G. White continues to inspire: “It is our most earnest prayer that these messages may be a great strength to the young people of the Advent movement all round the world, in perfecting Christian character, and in giving new impetus toward the completion of our great task—the Advent message to all the world in this generation.”

Please continue to pray for the campers and their families, the staff, facilitators, and the brethren supporting the activities in many ways. We also lift up our supplications for our camp directors, plenary speakers, district pastors, officers, directors, and administrators of SePUM and its five missions. We ask for wisdom, good health, and protection as they develop the talents and character of our youth through programs like F-Camp 2024. All praises and honor to our marvelous God!
