Stewardship Ministries Gears Up on Faithful Giving
The Southeastern Philippine Union Mission (SePUM) Stewardship Ministries, aiming to instill in believers’ hearts the importance of acknowledging God’s power and abundant gifts through faithful stewardship, conducted a Regular & Systematic Giving Education at the Matutum View Academy Gym on March 14-16 and concluded it with resounding success.
Pastor Danielo Palomares, SePUM President, graced the opening night and shared a compelling keynote message, opened believers’ minds and stirred their hearts. Throughout the duration, the dedicated Team Gugma, headed by Junald Serrano, a church leader of Baan Adventist Church in Butuan City, facilitated four engaging stations, offering attendees comprehensive insights into the significance of regular and systematic giving. Significantly, an essential meeting occurred at 10:00 on Preparation Day, where the Stewardship Ministries directors of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD), SEPUM, Southwestern Philippine Union Conference (SWPUC), and Southern Mindanao Mission (SMM) convened with the SMM Administrators, Directors, and Office Staff.
Later in the afternoon, district and church pastors gathered for a productive session. The Vespers program on Friday featured a deeply- moving testimony from Engr. Elinor Sanchez shared a personal narrative about God’s constant goodness in his life and family, touching the hearts of all present.
On the Sabbath, the program reached its zenith with an impressive turnout of approximately 1000 attendees. Pastor Jibil Simbah, Stewardship Director of SSD, the church headquarters overseeing the 11 Southeast Asian nations, delivered an impactful message during the Hour of Worship, inspiring the congregation with his words on faithfulness and trustworthy stewardship.
On the Sabbath afternoon, all *An Hour@Dawn speakers were recognized, thus highlighting their invaluable insights and dedication to this dawn neighborhood evangelism broadcast. Furthermore, special acknowledgment was given to Polomolok Central Church, acclaimed as a COP-friendly Church, with Pastor Michael Capapas as the speaker during the recognition program.
The program concluded on a high note with a stirring commitment message from Pastor Nildo Mamac, the SMM president.
Attendees sealed their dedication by signing a commitment pledge, reaffirming their collective resolution to uphold the principles of faith and giving. The event’s success was a testament to the collaborative efforts and unwavering commitment of all involved, fostering a spirit of unity, inspiration, and renewed dedication to the cause of stewardship.
We thank God for His boundless and immeasurable blessings overflowing into our believers’ coffers and also for our laypeople, field workers, pastors, directors, and administrators whose commission is to set examples and shepherd us patiently.
“Return to Me, and I will return to you. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and will open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing.” MALACHI 3:10. But please wait. The verse continues to inspire us to give more because the many blessings that God will continuously pour upon the faithful will be incomparably much until we do not have enough room to receive them. AMEN (DA Dabucol/SePUM Stewardship Ministries)
