Mindanao-Wide Intelligence Camp 2024

Valencia, Bukidnon – The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Mindanao recently concluded its week-long Mindanao Wide Intelligence Camp 2024, hosted at Mountain View College. This groundbreaking event brought together elementary pupils from all Adventist schools across Mindanao, including Grades 5 and 6, along with a select few from Grade 4.

Unlike traditional camping experiences, this camp was meticulously crafted to cater to the diverse intelligences bestowed upon God’s children, especially elementary-aged pupils. While previous camps may have focused solely on mountain survival skills, this year’s edition offered a multifaceted approach to education and personal growth.

The atmosphere at Mountain View College was alive with the vibrant energy of campers as they eagerly participated in various disciplines tailored to their interests and abilities. From the melodious tunes of the Music Camp to the colorful expressions of the Arts Camp and the innovative projects of the Digital and Media Productions Camp, there was something for every camper to explore and enjoy.

“This camp is truly a unique and one-of-a-kind experience,” remarked one of the camp organizers. “We wanted to create an environment where children could learn practical skills and discover and nurture their individual talents and passions.”

Each day was filled with exciting activities, including traditional Pathfinder activities, which encouraged teamwork, leadership, and outdoor exploration. Teachers from different schools were actively involved, providing guidance and support to their pupils, while parents cheered from the sidelines, proud to witness their children’s growth and achievements.

As the camp ended, campers departed with newfound friendships, unforgettable memories, and a renewed sense of confidence and self-discovery.
