“READY, GET SET GO” of NDR-IEL SePUM Saves 583 Precious Souls

READY, GET SET, GO! “Preparing Your Family for Eternity” Evangelistic Series of Nurture, Discipleship, Reclamation – Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle (NDR- IEL) Department of the Southeastern Philippine Union Mission (SePUM) was simultaneously relaunched at Tandag City, Surigao del Sur on April 28 to May 4, with 5 NDR-IEL Directors and baptized 583 precious souls in separate baptism rites.

More than the lure and power of the majestic Tinuy-an Falls of Tandag City , the pastors, officers and members of unified churches rally together to invite attendees to six venues with the spirit-driven Field Secretaries/NDR-IEL from Southeastern Mindanao, to mention: Pr. Eugene Dela Peńa (NDR-IEL for South Central Mindanao Mission at Brgy. Tina Covered Court, San Miguel); Pr. Penny Garcesa (NDRR-IEL for Southern Mindanao Mission) at Carromata Covered Court, San Miguel); Pr. Baby Larry Labang (NDR-IEL for Northern Davao Mission at Brgy. Victoria Covered Court, Tago Surigao DS.); Pr. Joel Quipanes (NDR-IEL for Davao Mission at Buenavista Covered Court, Tandag City) and the team leader of the preaching God’s servants was Pr. Rene Rosa, SePUM Vice- President for Evangelism / NDR-IEL who did the fiery sermons at Brgy Dagoc-doc Covered Court, Tandag City.

Pr. Agapito Orendain (NDR-IEL of the host Southestern Caraga Mission {SECM} served as Program Coordinator and facilitated the event along with the documentation team of Hope Channel Caraga Mission led by Pastor Jesreel Diamante Mercader, SECM Communication and Education Director.

It is the aim of the church’s NDR-IEL, to train, resource and equip all of its members so we may all work together to advance the kingdom by sharing the love of God through small groups, or care groups. Because we love to see each member actively involved in sharing the faith, the believers of SECM intensified means and manpower to be effective disciple-makers and selfless seekers of the lost.

Pastor Jemsly Lantaya, President of SECM, believes that a growing church should not only aim for baptism but should work together to loose none, disciple all and look closely to Luke chapter 15 which presented the parables of the lost coin, lost sheep and the prodigal son.

Emphasizing lines from Ellen G. White, the one whose visions from God enlighten this church, Pr. Rosa reminded: “Everyone who believes in Christ as a personal Saviour is under bonds to God to be pure and holy, to be a spiritual worker, seeking to save the lost, whether they are great or small, rich or poor, bond or free. The greatest work on earth is to seek and to save those who are lost, for whom Christ has paid the infinite price of His own blood.” In Luke 19:10, Jesus said, “The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Please do not tarry, we need to make haste. The lost don’t just need finding; they need saving. We only need Jesus in prayer and offer our time, talents and little treasures to find them in the byways and highways, some in the remotest places or the busiest and noisiest cities of the world.
