“The Search” Is On at Panabo Mega Church Tonight
In a world of restless searching for anything self-satisfying, Quiet Hour Ministries and Northern Davao Mission (NDM) present “The Search 2024 Evangelistic Series” with Pr. Dan Smith, at Panabo SDA Mega Church, Panabo City on June 30-July 6, and broadcasted Live! on GSat ch37, SatLite ch103, Panabo Cable ch75/ch147, Trinity ch57, Bansalan Cable ch55 and all AWR Hope Radio stations within the Southeastern Philippine Union Mission territory!
Tonight marks the start of an insightful journey into the truth and Jesus’ salvation with Pastor Daniel Smith, a world-renowned preacher from Quiet Hour Ministries.
Pastor Smith retired in 2019 from the Garden Grove SDA Church after serving as a pastor for 45 years in Oregon, Illinois, and California. He has a fascinating background; he grew up in Thailand as the son of missionaries, attended high school in Singapore, and later went to Pacific Union College in California. He completed his seminary education with a Master’s and Doctorate in Divinity.
In 1995, Pastor Smith began speaking internationally and has led thousands of trips, primarily to Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, and India.
Pr. Smith emphasized the concept of being “a sinner saved by grace” as the evening’s theme. By believing in His promise, trusting, and obeying His words, we will discover the key to eternal life.
Uplifting songs will be provided nightly by Grace Force, Glanzen Singers and other spirit-driven performers who love to share their music.
Pr. Seth Suan, President of NDM, who will serve as an interpreter for the entire week, was present during the launch event. He was joined by members of various churches and communities in the area. Also in attendance were the legislators and representatives from the City Government of Panabo, led by the honorable Mayor Jose “Joerel” Relampago, represented by his son.
Pr. Jeguien Jeon Nietes, District Leader of Melale, Laak 3rd District, Davao de Oro, and Ma’am Bella Erellana, teacher and NDM volunteer host who works for the Department of Migrant Workers, Region-11, hosted the opening program.
The live evangelistic series broadcast is made possible through a collaboration between the Southeastern Philippines Union Mission (SePUM) Communication Department, the Communication Department of Northern Davao Mission (NDM), including its media subsidiary the Hope Channel Northern Davao (HCND) team, and the coordinators of Hope Channel Davao (HCD).
“Many are losing the right way, in consequence of thinking that they must climb to heaven, that they must do something to merit the favor of God. They seek to make themselves better by their own unaided efforts. This they can never accomplish. Christ has made the way by dying our Sacrifice, by living our Example, by becoming our great High Priest. He declares, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). If by any effort of our own we could advance one step toward the ladder, the words of Christ would not be true. But when we accept Christ, good works will appear as fruitful evidence that we are in the way of life, that Christ is our way, and that we are treading the true path that leads to heaven.” ELLEN G WHITE, Faith and Works, 102.1 (SePUM Communication)
