SePUM’s Friendship Camp 2024 Initially Baptizes 458 Campers

At the historic Friendship Camp 2024, held across 80 sites in the Southeastern Philippine Union Mission (SePUM), an initial 32 precious individuals accepted the Lord through baptism by SePUM Youth Director Pr. This significant event was followed by another baptism at the campsite near the renowned lake and cave of Pisan, Kabacan, Cotabato, marking a momentous occasion in the lives of these campers.

South Central Mindanao Mission (SCMM), with seven campsites serving the campers from the provinces of Cotabato, Maguindanao, and Sultan Kudarat with the cities of Tacurong, Cotabato, and Kidapawan, reported the first set of baptisms resulting from the F-camp involving interested Adventist youth and their friends and relatives from all 230 districts in the 5 missions of SePUM.

As we pray for more souls to be captivated by the love of Jesus, we are inspired by the camp’s theme, ‘PINILI or CHOSEN.” Southern Mindanao Mission (SMM) reported 200 newly baptized youth; Davao Mission (DM) had 35; Northern Davao Mission (NDM) had an initial baptism of 80, and Southeastern Caraga Mission (SeCM) had 73. These youth, with their friendliness, sweet innocence, and, most importantly, their adherence to the words of God, are a true inspiration in winning the newly-found “Pinili” by the loving Father.

“In the children who were brought in contact with Him, Jesus saw the men and women who should be heirs of His grace and subjects of His kingdom, and some of whom would become martyrs for His sake. He knew that these children would listen to Him and accept Him as their Redeemer far more readily than would grown-up people, many of whom were the worldly-wise and hardhearted. In teaching, He came down to their level. He, the majesty of heaven, answered their questions and simplified His important lessons to meet their childish understanding. He planted in their minds the seeds of truth, which in afteryears would spring up and bear fruit unto eternal life.” ELLEN G. WHITE, Evangelism 579.2 (SePUM Communication)
