Adventist Medical Center Manila (AMCM) Pasay City, Manila, formerly Manila Sanitarium and Hospital, established in July 1929, donated a 500 kVA Diesel Generator to Adventist Hospital Davao to supplement the existing 300 kVA generator used by the life-saving institution during power interruptions.
The arrival and installation of the 500 kVA generator at the newly-constructed generator house on September 5 is a powerful symbol of unity and support. This generous act from AMC-Manila underscores the strong bond among Adventist hospitals in the Philippines, working together to serve their communities.
AMCM President Elias Y. Apacible, Jr. recognized the growing needs of Adventist Hospital Davao under the leadership of its new President, Dr. Jonathan Casio, and every personnel of this 62-bed hospital. They are deeply grateful to AMC-Manila for this generous donation, which will produce about 400 kW of power during brownouts and enable the hospital to continue its vital healing ministry.

White, an Adventist writer who continuously guides the church through her Spirit-driven thoughts, once wrote: “The Lord years ago gave me special light regarding the establishment of a health institution where the sick could be treated on altogether different lines from those followed in any other institution in the world. It was to be founded and conducted upon Bible principles and to be in His hands one of the most effective agencies for giving light to the world.
