Batch 65 Missionary Aspirants Complete SePUM Pre-Training, Ready for 1000MM Campus

After the successful mission carried out by 21 missionaries of the 1000 Missionary Movement Batch 63 and 64 in Purok 13, Barangay Tubaon, Tarragona, Davao Oriental from May 22 to 31, 2025—where 54 precious souls were baptized—Batch 65, composed of 23 aspiring missionaries, completed their Pre-Missionary Orientation on June 28 in Pagsilaan, Andap, New Bataan, Davao de Oro.

These trainings, organized by the Southeastern Philippine Union Mission (SePUM), serve to prepare participating missionaries from five constituent missions before they proceed to actual training at the 1000MM Campus in Silang, Cavite, where they will join other missionaries from across the globe.

The 1000 Missionary Movement in SePUM is led by Pastor Demetrio Taotao Jr., who envisions that before applicants head to the capital for training, they should already be equipped with the necessary documentation as well as physical, material, social, and spiritual readiness—evidence of a genuine calling to proclaim God’s Word in a distinct way.

Twenty-three missionaries completed their initial training at the Pagsilaan Seventh-day Adventist Church and Yes-Go Inland Resort, a private tourism facility generously offered by a business family for free use of its amenities—something they’ve done faithfully for many years.

The distribution of new missionaries is as follows: Davao Mission-  4; Southeastern Caraga Mission-1; South Central Mindanao Mission – 2; Southern Mindanao Mission- 4, and; Northern Davao Mission -12 , including one newly converted soul who was reached through the My Home and Health Seminar conducted by SePUM Care Group Mount Sinai and supported by 1000 Missionaries in Purok 13, Barangay Tubaon, Tarragona, Davao Oriental, just a few weeks earlier.

It is hoped that their wholehearted dedication and desire to share the Good News through meaningful engagement with communities will open hearts to the truth and lead many precious souls to the feet of Christ.

Mrs. Ellen G. White, an American writer whose thoughts inspired millions, wrote: “The training of workers should be conducted in such a way that they will be prepared to go out and do successful work for the Master. They should be taught how to meet people, how to present the truth.  (Evangelism, p. 109)

In this manner, the Great Commission will be given due importance. The command is clear: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19–20
