DISCOVER YOUR WAY WITH GOD, a mobile online evangelism strategy, once again journeyed to Kidapawan City Central Seventh-day Adventist Church to present Episodes 3 & 4, featuring its second speaker, Pastor Welnie Miado, the dedicated President of South Central Mindanao Mission (SCMM).
On the evening of September 3, Pastor Miado opened his message by reminding viewers that we live in a world overwhelmed by noise, pressure, and fleeting pleasures. He offered a refreshing invitation to return to the source of true joy—Jesus Christ. Addressing a congregation hungry for spiritual clarity, he emphasized that eternal happiness is not found in wealth, fame, or comfort, but in a living relationship with the Savior.
Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” This verse anchored his message: lasting happiness begins with surrendering our hearts to Christ. He stressed that God’s love is not reserved for the perfect—it is freely given to all. As Romans 5:8 assures us, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” No matter our past, we are invited into grace.
Transitioning to the theme of the Sabbath, this loving shepherd painted a vivid picture of its divine purpose. More than just a day of rest, the Sabbath is a weekly covenant between God and His people—a sacred pause that reconnects believers with their Creator.
He referenced Isaiah 58:13–14, which instructs believers not to pursue our own interests or desires on the Sabbath. Instead, they are to honor it as the Lord’s holy day, calling it a delight and celebration, and finding joy in the Lord rather than in worldly pleasures.
He described the Sabbath as a foretaste of heaven—a time to withdraw from life’s distractions and enter into spiritual renewal. It is a gift that reminds us of God’s creation, His provision, and His promise of eternal peace.
Pastor Miado emphasized the Sabbath as a sacred pause—a symbol of trust that reminds us we are not defined by our labor, but by our relationship with the One who made us.
Even more, the Sabbath points forward to eternity. Hebrews 4:9–10 reveals, “There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God…” This rest is not just for one day—it is a glimpse of the everlasting peace promised to those who walk faithfully with Him.
His message invited everyone to embrace the joy that comes from knowing Christ and honoring His Sabbath. Let us live with purpose, share His love boldly, and find rest in His presence. Eternal happiness is not a distant dream—it begins now, in every moment we choose to walk with God.
On September 10, Pastor Welnie Miado returned to deliver another powerful sermon at Kidapawan City Central Adventist Church, emphasizing that spiritual growth thrives through sharing. He reminded the congregation that faith deepens not only through personal devotion but through acts of generosity and service.
Drawing from Scripture and experience, he highlighted that spiritual maturity is not cultivated in isolation—it flourishes in community and generosity. The Christian journey is one of continual growth, and one of the most effective ways to nurture that growth is through intentional acts of sharing—whether time, resources, or the gospel itself.
Acts 1:8 is a powerful and pivotal verse that captures both a promise and a mission: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” This verse calls us to live with purpose, courage, and a global vision. Whether through words, actions, or quiet faithfulness, we are part of a mission that began in an upper room and continues to the ends of the earth.
Central to his message was Matthew 10:8, which declares, “Freely you have received; freely give.” This passage served as a spiritual anchor, urging believers to recognize that the blessings they receive from God are meant to be shared. Pastor Miado explained that when we give freely, we mirror the character of Christ, whose ministry was marked by selfless service and compassion. He also emphasized that stewardship of tithes and offerings should be a priority for every person who receives God’s blessings daily.
He highlighted Proverbs 11:25, which states, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” This verse underscores the reciprocal nature of generosity—when we pour into others, we ourselves are renewed. Pastor Miado encouraged the church to engage in acts of kindness and outreach, noting that spiritual growth often accelerates when we step outside our comfort zones to serve others.
Another key verse in the sermon was 2 Timothy 4:5, which reads, “But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.” Pastor Miado used this passage to challenge believers to remain steadfast and proactive in sharing their faith, even when faced with difficulties. He emphasized that spiritual growth is not passive—it requires endurance, commitment, and a willingness to be used by God.
The Apostle Paul also emphasizes in 1 Timothy 2:9 (NKJV), “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing.” This isn’t just about clothing—it’s about character. Our outward appearance should reflect an inward spirit of humility, reverence, and self-control. In Adventist teaching, this principle extends to both men and women, encouraging simplicity, dignity, and purpose in how we present ourselves.
The two evenings, presenting Episodes 3 & 4, were hosted by Ma’am Ivan Mae Flores, Production Hea of SePUM Media, and Sir Jun Clyde Murillo, SCMM Education Director. The Conversations segment, serving as a supplemental discussion before DYWG, featured Pastor Eddie Remonde, Pastor Lilio Bornales, Pastor Jasper Almocera, and SCMM Executive Secretary Pastor Edwillie Selliote, hosted by Pastor Louwayne Van Magdadaro.
In a segment called God’s Power, testimonies were shared by Brother Henry Mainit and Pastor Eugenio Dela Peña, SCMM Adventist Mission Director. Both experienced juvenile delinquency and imprisonment prior to their conversion, yet were transformed by God and now serve as influential instruments of His grace and power.
Soul-stirring musical presentations were offered by Dr. Karen Mae Pascua, The Seekers Singers, Flourishing Echoes, and SCMM Singers, led by Elder Nilo Cabatingan, SCMM Treasurer and Communication Director; enriching the spiritual atmosphere of the event.
Through powerful preaching, heartfelt testimonies, and soul-stirring worship, Discover Your Way with God ignited a movement from Kidapawan City as second venue that reminds us: transformation begins when we choose to walk boldly in God’s grace and share His light with the world.
