Church and ministry leaders, communicators, media representatives, and mission strategists gathered at the Baiyoke Sky Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, on September 20-23for the OneVoice27 Strategic Alignment and Collaboration Summit, strengthening a shared direction toward an integrated approach to mission across the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD).
The summit brought together key leaders and ministry partners to align strategies, resources, media platforms, and evangelistic efforts in preparation for OneVoice27 (OV27)—an initiative envisioned to mobilize the Church and its ministries around a unified mission.
SSD President Pastor Roger Caderma called on ministry leaders to recognize OneVoice27 not merely as another program or event of the Church, but as an integrated mission movement.
His emphasis challenged leaders to move beyond departmental boundaries and see OneVoice27 as a collective mission in which ministries, institutions, local churches, media organizations, pastors, members, and digital missionaries work together toward a common purpose.

Opening the program, SSD Treasurer Pastor Jacinth Adap gave a direct call to action based on Zechariah 8:23: “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”
Adap emphasized the Church’s calling to become a visible influence—living and serving in such a way that people recognize the presence of God among His people and are drawn to journey with them.
Pastor Alexander Ott, associate secretary of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, also challenged participants to move beyond comfort and respond actively to God’s mission. Drawing from Psalm 135:1–5, Ott called on leaders to “run out of the comfort of sleep and build a dwelling place for the Lord.”
In the context of today’s rapidly changing communication environment, Ott underscored that digital platforms can also become places where God’s presence, message, and mission are made known. His message reinforced the growing importance of digital mission as an integral part of the Church’s evangelistic work.
A major focus of the summit was the alignment of ministries and departments for OneVoice27. Pastor Arnel Gabin, SSD vice president for evangelism, presented the collaborative framework through which different areas of the Church can contribute to the initiative.
Together with Pastor Carlito Quidet Jr. and Pastor Sugih Sitorus of SSD Ministerial, Gabin highlighted three major streams of mission for OneVoice27: media outreach, local church-based disciple-making and harvest evangelism, and big cities outreach.

These streams are designed to bring together the work of ministries and departments, pastors and local churches, institutions, media organizations, content creators and influencers, and an expanding network of digital missionaries.
Rather than operating as separate efforts, the summit emphasized the need for these mission streams to complement one another—connecting media proclamation with personal engagement, local church disciple-making, and intentional outreach in major population centers.
Church media ministries also took an active role in the strategic conversations. Hope Channel and Adventist World Radio (AWR) participated in the summit as leaders discussed the direction and significant role both media entities will play in supporting OneVoice27 through broadcast, digital platforms, content development, distribution, and mission engagement.
The Bangkok gathering reinforced a central message throughout the summit: OneVoice27 is about bringing the Church’s many voices, ministries, platforms, and people together around one mission.

As preparations move forward, the initiative seeks to strengthen collaboration from the Division to unions, missions and conferences, institutions, local churches, and individual members—extending the mission beyond physical church spaces and into communities, cities, broadcast platforms, and the digital world.
With ministries aligned and mission at the center, OneVoice27 calls the Church toward a united movement of proclamation, disciple-making, influence, and service—one mission, many platforms, OneVoice
