God’s Chosen Leaders Continue Their Mission in SePUM

God’s Chosen Leaders Continue Their Mission in SePUM

In a spirit of prayerful gratitude and unity, the Seventh-day Adventist Church celebrates the reelection of leaders entrusted by God to guide the Southeastern Philippine Union Mission (SePUM) for the 2026–2030 term.

The announcement was made during the ongoing election of officers across the 11-country territory of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD), held at its headquarters in Silang, Cavite, Philippines. Reaffirmed to continue their leadership are Pastor Danielo Palomares, President; Pastor Edwin Magdadaro, Executive Secretary; and Elder Laurence Lamera, Treasurer.

Organized in December of 2023, SePUM stands as a testament to God’s providence and the unwavering commitment of its spiritual leaders. Since its formation, the administration has worked to strengthen mission collaboration, nurture faith communities, and expand outreach efforts throughout its vast field in Southeastern Mindanao. Their reelection is viewed not merely as an administrative action, but as a renewed affirmation of God-centered leadership, humility, and vision.

SePUM’s reach now includes 1,136 churches, 1,081 companies, and 236 districts under six local missions—Davao Mission, Northern Davao Mission, Southern Mindanao Mission, Southeastern Caraga Mission, and South Central Mindanao Mission—as well as key institutions such as Adventist Hospital Davao and South Philippine Adventist College.

Together, these entities represent a growing family of believers united in their mission to share hope and wholeness across Mindanao.

“God continues to lead His Church in powerful ways,” a SePUM communication statement affirmed. “We praise the Lord for His faithfulness and for leaders who model humility and dedication in service. Their commitment to the mission inspires unity among our workforce and members.”

As the Church moves forward, SePUM calls on all workers, members, and partners to uphold their leaders in prayer. May this new term be marked by more profound unity, renewed passion for evangelism, and continued dependence on the Holy Spirit. Under the guidance of its reelected officers, SePUM remains steadfast in its mission—to proclaim the everlasting Gospel and prepare every heart for Christ’s soon return.
