United in Praise: NDM Headquarters' New Perimeter Road Widens Paths for Mission
On a productive February 19, the Northern Davao Mission (NDM) headquarters at National Highway, Purok 2; New Balamban; Tagum City, overflowed with gratitude as leaders, workers, and members gathered for a “Heartfelt Thanksgiving Celebration.” The occasion marked the successful completion of a road development project that now serves the NDM community and its visitors from its territories and beyond. With joyful hearts, participants echoed the apostle’s counsel: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

The improved road access is more than an infrastructure milestone, it is a gift that strengthens daily operations, ensures safer travel for worshipers and workers, and supports the flow of supplies essential for outreach and service. NDM expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Rey T. Uy, City Mayor of Tagum, whose assistance and partnership made the project possible.
The Spirit of Prophecy foresaw this collaboration saying “The money is the Lord’s, and if the wealthy are approached in the right way, the Lord will touch their hearts and impress them to give of their means. God’s money is in the hands of these men, and some of them will heed the request for help.” Ellen G. White, Welfare Ministry 281.3

Mission officers headed by Pr. Seth Suan, President, emphasized that collaboration with civic leaders reflects the spirit of unity that advances discipleship and community service. Judge Jimmy Boco delivered an Act of Gratitude, affirming that lasting progress is achieved when leaders and citizens work together with shared purpose. His message was warmly received as a reminder of the power of cooperation.
In response, Pr. Suan, together with Pr. EM Vladimir Undalok, Executive Secretary, Elder Lloyd C. Chinedo, Treasurer and all leaders of the institution, conveyed heartfelt thanks to the local government and partners. They reiterated that the Mission values partnerships that uplift communities and create more opportunities for service. The celebration reminded attendees that thanksgiving is not confined to worship services but extends to every achievement that opens doors for ministry.

Ellen G. White beautifully wrote: “Nothing tends more to promote health of body and of soul than does a spirit of gratitude and praise.” The Ministry of Healing, p. 251. With renewed faith, NDM leaders declared that the road project is not merely for convenience, but a channel for stronger mission, deeper compassion, and wider gospel reach. As Scripture assures: “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy” (Psalm 126:3).
The program concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing NDM’s renewed commitment to steward this blessing wisely. The improved access stands as a testimony of God’s providence and the power of united effort. Truly, gratitude transforms progress into praise, and progress into mission.

The church is God’s appointed agency for the salvation of men. It was organized for service, and its mission is to carry the gospel to the world. From the beginning it has been God’s plan that through His church shall be reflected to the world His fullness and His sufficiency. The members of the church, those whom He has called out of darkness into His marvelous light, are to show forth His glory. The church is the repository of the riches of the grace of Christ; and through the church will eventually be made manifest, even to “the principalities and powers,” the final and full display of the love of God.
Let us glorify Him for "God’s love for His church is infinite. He has made every provision for its growth and enlargement. His care over His people is unceasing." This Day with God, p. 256.
