About This Ministry

Communication is the right hand of every effective organization. Whether it’s a local church, school, large health care facility, conference or union office mission, or a newly created ministry, communication is an essential part of the success of an organization.

Details

The Communication Department exists to tell the story of God’s work through His Church. Its mission, "Building Bridges of Hope," is to connect people with Christ and with each other by using all available media and platforms to share hope, truth, and service.

Communication is the bridge between the Church and the community it serves. By sharing stories of faith, mission, and service, this department inspires engagement, fosters unity, and amplifies the Adventist message. Its work ensures that the voice of the Church is consistent, credible, and Christ-centered in every platform—whether through a pulpit, a poster, a broadcast, or a post.

The following are the seven main functions and services of the department, including, but not limited to:

News and Information
Update and inform members using different platforms to encourage them to participate in activities and events at the church, school, service, or church attendance, and share resources that can inspire members’ enthusiasm.

New Media
The use of Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and other modern or digital platforms to announce news and information, encourage brothers and sisters, and evangelize or convey good news to the most remote areas of the world by taking advantage of these digital platforms.

Service and Support
Support other departments and church work. Collaborate on service offerings and church initiatives. This service will make a wider and better impact on the community.

Communicate and Integrate
We must unite by presenting who we are to the world. The church is unique and has different ways of delivering its purpose. Therefore, we must show that the church is united even in documents or visible signs.

Public Relations
We should make signs as a church by sharing our stories, forming good relationships, and sharing our message in consistent and practical ways that represent the church.

Training and Workshop
Conduct training or awareness in communication and media, equipping the church with new methods, technology, or tools to facilitate the work, encourage the church’s members, or be involved.

Evangelism and Care
The general work of the church gives importance to innovative or modern methods or traditional methods to quickly and effectively reach the world and cooperate with the joint work of the church following the Mission Statement to “make disciples of Jesus Christ who live as His loving witnesses and proclaim to all people the everlasting gospel of the Three-Angels’ Messages in preparation for His soon return.” (Mat. 28:18-20, Buhat 1:8, Rev. 14: 6-12)
