The Southeastern Philippine Union Mission (SePUM) Content Creators and Influencers held a Virtual Worship on October 22, bringing together 119 participants via Zoom for a meaningful gathering centered on faith, fellowship, and the mission of sharing the gospel in the digital world.
The online gathering featured Pastor Danielo Palomares, president and chairperson of the Media Board of the Southeastern Philippine Union Mission (SePUM), as the guest speaker. His message emphasized 2 Timothy 4:1,2, which denotes, “In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.”

The emphasis on digital evangelism was given heavier weight at the 2026 Annual Council of the world church or General Conference Executive Committee of the Seventh-day Adventist from October 7–14, 2026 at Silver Spring, Maryland, United States, where Pastor Dan and other 440 global church leaders attended.
He emphasized the vital role of content creators, social media influencers, and digital communicators in advancing the mission of the remnant church since “the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” 2 Timothy 4:3, 4. As digital platforms continue to shape how people communicate, learn, and connect, the gathering highlighted the importance of using technology to share biblical truth, inspire hope, and reach people who may not otherwise encounter the gospel.
Digital ministry offers opportunities to communicate God's love through social media posts, videos, livestreams, podcasts, graphics, online Bible studies, and personal testimonies. The Bible's call in Mark 16:15, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (KJV), remains relevant in today's digital age.
Sir Rhoen Shane P. Catolico, director of Communication, Media, Public Affairs and Religious Liberty of SePUM explained the purpose of the meeting, primarily to unify all content creators of the church as frontliners in the ministry as digital missionaries and to present contents which will be in line with the AVID Framework.AUDIBLE or clear, resonant and engaging; also VISIBLE focusing on strong visual branding and creativity to capture attention in digital space. We should be INTENTIONAL to ensure that all digital interactions will have clear purpose leading people to Christ. It is DIGITAL as to align with the recent trend.
Through online platforms, the message of salvation can cross geographical boundaries and reach people from different communities and cultures. Romans 10:14 likewise emphasizes the importance of proclaiming the gospel so that people may hear and believe. Every post, video, and digital interaction can become an opportunity to share God's Word, encourage someone in their faith, and introduce others to the hope found in Jesus Christ.

The gathering also underscored the importance of digital ministry in advancing the OneVoice27 strategy. Through a shared mission and a unified message, content creators and influencers can help amplify the church's evangelistic efforts and strengthen its presence in the digital world. By collaborating on Christ-centered content, online evangelism campaigns, Bible studies, and inspiring testimonies, participants can help connect online audiences with the transforming message of Scripture and encourage deeper spiritual engagement.
The emphasis is not simply on gaining views, likes, or followers, but on using digital influence as a meaningful instrument for ministry. Behind every screen is a person who may be searching for truth, encouragement, compassion, and the saving love of Jesus. This understanding calls digital missionaries to create content that is biblically grounded, responsible, relevant, and centered on Christ.
This mission also reflects the counsel of Ellen G. White in Christian Service, page 68: “The work of God in this earth can never be finished until the men and women comprising our church membership rally to the work, and unite their efforts with those of ministers and church officers.” Her emphasis on the united efforts of church members remains significant in the digital age, as pastors, church leaders, content creators, influencers, and members work together to share the gospel through their God-given gifts and available technologies.
The participation of 119 individuals in the first -ever Virtual Worship demonstrated the potential of digital platforms to bring God's people together for worship, learning, collaboration, and mission. As they move forward, participants are encouraged to embrace their roles as intentional digital missionaries, using their creativity and online influence to proclaim biblical truth, inspire faith, and lead people closer to Jesus.

Pastor Mark Sinilong, an associate pastor of San Joaquin District, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur of Southeastern Caraga Mission had a beautiful impression. As a content creator for less than 2 years and gained 16K followers, he said: “I felt the immense blessings of the virtual meeting, with no less than our union president leading the flock. We may provide the digital space with different contents but we can maximize them now in consonance with the direction to lift up Jesus and motivate the church to inform the world with urgency about the truth we possess.”
As the Seventh-day Adventist Church moves toward OneVoice27, the challenge is to make every post purposeful, every video a source of hope, and every digital platform an opportunity for service. Through unity, creativity, and a shared commitment to the gospel, SePUM content creators and influencers can help extend the church's witness beyond traditional boundaries and contribute to the proclamation of the everlasting gospel in preparation for the soon return of Jesus Christ. One mission. One voice. One digital witness for Jesus.
