‘Discover Your Way with God’ Series Inspires Almost Half a Million Viewers Across Media Platforms

The “Discover Your Way with God” (DYWG) Online Series stands as a monumental expression of faith-driven innovation and digital evangelism as part of the global Harvest2025 initiative within the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD), an eleven-country regional territory of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. This series emerged from a newly organized headquarters formed through bifurcation, now composed of three stable mission and two newly-bifurcated missions across half of Mindanao.

The program began with six preliminary nights that introduced the heartbeat of the series—its title, speakers, topics, venues, singers, theme song, and the dedicated technical team behind the scenes.

These foundational episodes paved the way for a 14-sessions main series that featured eight presidents from the union, missions, and institutions, each delivering Spirit-filled messages across five cities. This digital evangelism effort, powered by various media platforms, overcame logistical and technical challenges with prayer, collaboration, and unwavering commitment.

The journey commenced at Hope Channel Davao with four preliminary series  and Tagum Central Adventist Church with the other two. From there Pastor Seth Suan, President of Northern Davao Mission (NDM), launched the first two topics. NDM comprises 51 districts and 377 churches and companies, unified by 73,012 members.

The technical team—hosts, writers, audio-visual crew, editors, floor managers, and directors—then moved to Kidapawan City Central Adventist Church. There, Pastor Welnie Miado, President of South Central Mindanao Mission (SCMM) with 85,326 believers across 423 churches and companies in 45 districts. Dr. Chliejvferwyn C. Catolico, President of South Philippine Adventist College (SPAC), shared powerful messages.

From the heart of Mindanao, the team returned to Adams Center Adventist Church in Davao City, featuring Pastor Jonathan Casio, President and CEO of Adventist Hospital Davao, and Pastor Reynaldo Merin, President of Davao Mission (DM), which includes 50 districts and 319 churches serving 82,766 baptized members.

The next phase brought the team to Bayugan City Central Adventist Church, where Pastor Jemsly Lantaya, President of Southeastern Caraga Mission (SeCM), ministering to 78,432 Adventists across 44 districts and 531 churches and companies shared from his territory two timely topics.

The final leg of the journey was a 377-kilometer travel to General Santos City Central Adventist Church, where Pastor Nildo Mamac, President of Southern Mindanao Mission (SMM) of 567 churches and companies and 155,874 Sabbath-keepers,  delivered the last two-night talks to a vast network of people using various social media platforms.

The Sabbath School welcome talk of Head Elder Randy Esparogaza of the host church expressed deep gratitude and joy, saying, “Our church community always feels immense happiness whenever one or a few of our leaders join us in our religious gatherings. But today is truly exceptional. Nearly all the leaders and staff from SePUM are here with us, and their presence powerfully underscores the spirit of unity as we worship God together this Sabbath.”

The Hour of Worship message of Pastor Danielo Palomares, President of SePUM explained the real essence of DYWG by saying: “This is not merely a program—it is a powerful gesture of unity among us all. It demonstrates that in our union, when the call to serve is made, everyone rises to fulfill their task. We move as a family, functioning as one body of believers in this part of the Lord’s vineyard.”

The culmination indeed had the full attendance of all 8 speakers, the SePUM departmental directors and staff, and all other guests celebrating the World Pathfinder’s Day. With the celebration were singers and choral groups gracing the momentous event and the online live reports of baptisms from many places in the territory.

It featured the material resources and manpower capabilities of the five host missions and these include the discovery of talented co-hosts to work with the regular host, Ms. Ivan Mae Acob-Flores, Production Head of SePUM Media and excellent speakers to be part of “The Conversations”, a prelude of every main program discussing vital points of the previous topics, hosted by Pr. Louwayne Van Magdadaro, church pastor of the Filipino-Chinese Adventist Church.

Numerous local singers and instrumentalists got the chance to showcase their vibrant music while church members coming from different churches had the opportunity to witness a real live show production and appreciate more the importance of the media ministry for the church.

The evangelism venture has printed thousands of booklets of the 26-lesson Discover Lessons in English and Cebuano and is planned to be translated to dialects applicable to various regions. Relative to the usage of the worksheets, a total of 35,476 were distributed and 26,370 of those were timely collected and churches involved offered prizes to top scorers.

The audio and video technicalities gave the toughest challenges during the mobile telecasts but with collaboration of the mobile production team and the local experts serving Hope Channel studios and church-based media volunteers, the unified group hurdled technical glitches through prayers and efficient division of labor.

The 20-night traveling series, produced and coordinated by SePUM Communication and Adventist Media in collaboration with the Communication and Media departments of each mission and institution and Hope Channel studios around the SePUM territory and even the Southwestern Philippine Union Conference territory, featured nightly messages of faith, hope, and transformation. The program was broadcast across television, radio, and multiple social media channels, allowing thousands of families to encounter God’s Word in their homes and communities.

With its hybrid setup combining on-site presentations and digital streaming, Discover Your Way with God became a movement of united effort among local missions, churches, and institutions. Technical crews, content creators, and digital missionaries joined hands to ensure that every episode was carried to as many viewers as possible—demonstrating how digital platforms can become powerful channels of the gospel.

Meanwhile, Rhoen Peralta Catolico, Communication Director of the Southeastern Philippine Union Mission (SePUM) and oversaw this traveling production, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support extended by the SePUM leadership, local missions and institutions, local church leaders, and the very dedicated media missionaries—both technical and digital.

“This is indeed a first-of-its-kind production,” Catolico shared. “As it has been said, ‘media will finish the work.’ Now, I see it with my own eyes that Jesus will truly come very soon—as everyone takes his or her part in hastening the Lord’s coming through these platforms!”

The digital broadcast gained strong support from the congregations watching the live streaming in their homes, churches, gymnasiums and other designated assemble areas and shared the messages to people in all walks of life. Hope Channel stations from other mission fields also aired the episodes as way of sharing the words of God digitally.

As per statistics from the five missions and two institutions, being provided by an organized system and demographics monitoring on September 7-20, preliminary nights not included, actual attendees in public viewing for week 1, 30,950 gathered physically and grew to 35,178 on Week 2, making a total of 66,128 attendees for the whole duration. 1,468 churches became meeting places for viewing, while 19,351 households offered their homes for the nightly gatherings, mostly using their television sets for the purpose.

Week 1 online viewership reached 166,900 and 202,252 for the second week and the total tally was 369,152 online viewers. 16,001 viewers were reached via Gsat while 43,187 social media enthusiasts watched the series through Facebook and YouTube and 408 listeners followed the series through their radios.

The page insights which offered detailed metrics on posts, including livestreams, the video performance, engagement and the audience retention metrics provided impressive data that for 14 nights, the series had 369,152 views, 33,478 shares, 18,894 comments and reached 260,768 other people who offered short viewing retention to any of the episodes.

As the DYWG series closes this chapter of evangelistic triumph, we are reminded of the promise in Isaiah 55:11: “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” And in the words of Ellen G. White: “The work of God in this earth can never be finished until the men and women comprising our church membership rally to the work and unite their efforts with those of ministers and church officers.” — Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 9, p. 117.
