A Testament to the Success of Our Faith Community
An Evangelistic Series, facilitated by Hope Channel Davao (HCD) and Adventist World Radio (AWR), culminated in the baptism of 111 individuals, marking a significant event in the local faith community. Held from July 14 to 20, 2024, at the Tautoan Memorial Church of Seventh-day Adventists and Cluster 1 of the Davao Mission of Seventh-day Adventists, this series showcased a profound display of faith and community spirit.
Throughout six transformative nights, attendees were inspired by powerful sermons and vibrant performances. Speakers from the Hope Channel Davao team, including Mrs. Cheryl Hodge, Communication and Media Director of Davao Mission, led the sessions. The series aimed to spread the message of Great Hope and promote the programs and initiatives of Hope Channel Davao and AWR’s slogan, “Broadcast to Baptism!”
The event drew participants from various groups, including members of Cluster 1 of Davao Mission of Seventh-day Adventists, CENDACA churches, Adams Center Adventist Church, and seminarians new to the Adventist faith. The atmosphere was filled with heartfelt singing, concerts, and performances that united the community in worship.
A notable highlight was the interactive break-out sessions, where seminarians engaged directly with speakers, ministers, and lay workers. This approach fostered a deeper understanding and connection among attendees, enhancing the overall spiritual experience.
The series concluded on July 20, 2024, with a profound moment of spiritual renewal as 111 individuals publicly declared their faith through baptism, accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. This milestone reflects the organizers’ dedication and the power of community-driven evangelism, inspiring us all to seek personal growth and spiritual renewal.
The Media departments of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division, the Southeastern Philippine Union Mission, and the Davao Mission of Seventh-day Adventists funded the evangelism initiative.
Hope Channel Davao and Adventist World Radio have once again demonstrated the transformative impact of media and outreach programs in spreading the message of hope and salvation.
