The Adventist Hospital Davao (AHD), known as “A Center for Total Health Care”, in partnership with Oceans of Love—an Adventist ministry dedicated to prayer, evangelism, and spiritual encouragement—conducted a week-long Life and Hope Seminar at the AHD Life Hope Center in Bangkal, Davao City. The event culminated in the baptism of 139 precious souls.
Elder Kenneth Hodges, a U.S.-based Adventist speaker from the North Carolina Conference and president of Prophetic Insights, shared the gospel message alongside Dr. Heather Bowen from Cleveland, Tennessee, USA, who served as Health Lecturer, with Dr. Jonathan Casio, AHD President, as translator. The ministry seeks to inspire believers through prayer, preaching, and teaching, often highlighting themes of hope, prophecy, and discipleship.

Two days before the seminar, a Concert for a Cause was staged featuring the Shining Herald Male Chorus, Tagum Adventist Symphonic Ensemble (TACE), For His Ministry Singers, and Primo Deo. The concert benefited the AHD Dialysis Building, Mobile Clinic, and Life Hope Center Building.
The seminar also incorporated the beautiful music of Jenny and Lori Conrad from Washington State, USA, together with the symphonies of various singing groups from hospital staff and other churches. It emphasized prayer as the foundation of spiritual strength and often integrated biblical prophecy into its teachings, helping members understand current events in light of Scripture while encouraging believers to share their faith and live out Christian service.
Every participant had the opportunity to join the electronic raffle, which offered commodities and useful items for the entire family. Most of all, the AHD culture of hospitality and generosity radiated throughout the season.
The mass baptism was held at the pool of Upper Mintal Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Millanes Farm, Purok 18, Upper Mintal, together with hundreds of souls who accepted Jesus through baptism as a result of other evangelistic meetings conducted in nearby churches.

In Ministry of Health and Healing (73.4), Mrs. Ellen G. White wrote: “Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Savior mingled with people as one who desired their good. He showed sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He invited them, ‘Follow Me.’”
As the seminar concluded, the words of Jesus remind us of the ultimate call:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19
